Drake doesn’t rap on that level anymore consistently enough so when he does drop a dope verse fans overhype it. There’s nothing you can show me that’ll convince me Drake is a better rapper now than his prime. The hunger and desire to prove he’s the big dog played a big role. He sound bored a lot of the time now.

New drake might have more wordplay on paper in his verses but theres no way u can tell me a song like churchill downs or middle of the ocean is as compelling as tuscan leather or 5am in toronto or a jodeci freestyle

He just rehashes the same flow every time now, it’s completely unexciting
Could literally put together an hour long mashup of all his new “barring up” verses and itd sound like it all came from the same song
