Yuuuup
Also, ppl forget that’s how he ended up on Blueprint 3. Off That was written as a reference for someone else to do the hook but for whatever reason the record never got cut and jay just threw drake’s version on
The real story behind that is that Drake had actually recorded another hook for Off That lol. A MUCH better hook as well. He sent it to Hov in time but for some reason, Hov ended up going with the hook that ended up on the album.
I remember an old interview of Drake speaking on that and he said he wondered why Hov made that decision but that at that point in his career, he wasn't going to turn down appearing on a Hov album so it was whatever. I feel like they made up for that the following year with Light Up. Off That wasn't a great song to begin with. A doper hook probably wouldn't have saved it.
I know at the height of the ghostwriting allegations it was hard to notice but the majority of his peers and especially the artist he’s collabed with never turned on drake nor had too much of a reaction. I forgot the podcast where someone said it but pretty much they all know drake is a top tier writer and those from way back know who he’s penned for. But the main reason why people in the industry gave even more respect to drake post 2016 is the fact he could have actually exposed the situations and “ghostwriting” methods of many others around him but held his tongue through it all just letting the culture play out. Even in that interview around more life the first time drake talked about the beef live, he said something along the lines of he could talk about the people who have done way worse than what he’s accused with of but he’s not messy and it would seem overblown.
I mean, Drake is a more accomplished songwriter than most of his peers. Most of his peers can only write rap verses. Drake has written actual records for people.
He definitely knows a lot about the creative process of a lot of these rappers and he could just have easily exposed that.
Thanks. I feel like I’ve read this before but I forgot about it. Was this posted at a earlier date or on KTT1 at a point in time?
Would be nice to see Drake write for others in this climate. 30 hours is like the only song I can think off top lol.
He's done one-offs for certain artists since then. He wrote Justin Bieber's One Life off his Journals project. Beyoncè personally reached out to him to write Mine off her self-titled album.

Yup that was probably what I meant. I remember the exact interview you're talking about, just couldnt remember the details. Pretty sure the interviewer prefaced the question with something like "you once rapped 'timbs we off that' and yet timbs are a staple of your wardrobe recently..." and drake went on to explain the off that situation
Feel like a lot of the beef had to do with Kim so now that that’s over it’s possible
The beef had literally nothing to do with kim lmao
he has admitted multiple times that he is insecure and jealous when it comes to drake's success in music. he has many issues when it comes to drake
Precisely why they better off keeping a distance
Why be friends with someone who has an issue with you and will try to f*** you over?

I want to say it’s more like drake is a forgiving person and so he doesn’t want to hold the grudge. I doubt they’re super close or anything but spirits need to be cleared
Nah he aint even really posting pictures with 40 but he at his crib....ok.
Drakes insta story from last confirms him and 40 are good, they’re talking to each other over the clip of his bodyguard jamming out

Kanye has made it known in every way humanly possible that he's envious of Drake's success and wishes he had the grip on culture Drake has. He's been saying this in interviews as far back as 2013.

Take your own advice.
Beef was basically Kanye's mental health making him paranoid and doing petty s*** to spite Drake
Kanye is fine now and realises so they made up
