Max ReboI really appreciate that Drake was willing to switch it up and give us a new sound in a concise package.
However, this sound really didn’t work for him imo. It really exposes his vocal and songwriting shortcomings.
It really does actually. Not sure there is a better artist that isn’t a traditionally strong singer who can hit these pockets with enough variation that you never get tired of it. Even great vocalists struggle with that.
This is one of those joints you need to be lit to. You’ll be hanging on every pitch and note change in his singing and the autotune with the house beats will sound divine
