Drake also announced CLB A WEEK OUT before it dropped
He announced this album 6 hours before it dropped lol
I’m not saying it’s a good or a bad thing
I think another issue I have with this album, well not the album Drake himself…. Ok sure he’s finally doing something new, but not really. Like the subject matter on the album is the same as all other albums he’s ever made. Before y’all Drake Stan’s start saying “omg what you want socially conscious dance music???” That’s not specifically what I’m looking for from Drake, but if he was to get into that bag I’m sure he’d do great, he’s too talented not too.
Like the only “progressive” change in this album from Drake’s usual sound is the production. Everything else is the same. So he ain’t really pushing boundaries imo. I will give him credit for being the biggest artist in the world and shining a light on house music though. I’ve seen multiple people on my timeline say they didn’t know they liked house music, and are looking up other artist in the space.
Tbf it's a dance album tho, subject matter makes sense here. Like different subject matter could be interesting but it's not like it's a crutch here like his rap s***
As some people have said, people seem to have weird allegiances to artists. People going to really come back one day once all of them retire and say "We really didn't appreciate them as much as we should've".
Having Drake/Kendrick/Cole drop all those projects during the last decade was insane. They curated the soundtracks to our lives (I'm all for the beef stuff sometimes as its fun haha), but to constantly s*** on an artists music for whatever agenda is weird.
Yeah man I don’t understand why it has to be that way
I’m on some s*** where I’m tryna appreciate all these artist now
I mean I’ve participated in Stan wars for a good laugh every now and then myself but I don’t loose sight of the fact that these guys are truly a blessing man
A surprise drop did less than his last album. Such a flop

yeah he announced the exact date for CLB a week out but everyone knew it was coming like 6 months prior and was well ready for it
Twitter is already filling up with “oh s*** the album is growing on me” posts smh I hate niggas so much!

I hear what you're saying cos I feel like you could take a lot of the acapellas of these songs and put them on an r&b beat and it's just a normal drake song
Loved it on first listen and it’s getting even better now. Defintely my favorite drake project since IYRTITL
His vocals sounded better when he used a vocal trainer in the NWTS era
Bro definitely stopped practicing singing long time ago
