That’s like someone saying Beautiful Thugger Girls is trash because it doesn’t compare to the best country music ever made
They keep saying "people are acting like this is the best house music has to offer" because that's the only way they can critique the album. If Drake wants to make any genre of music, he'll put his own spin to it (as he should). You don't have to like it and if you don't like it, there's dozens of other artists you can go listen to. I don't get why they're so upset people are enjoying the album.
They wanted Drake's first attempt into this sonic world to be the absolute best thing in the history of the genre and that says a lot about how much respect they have for his artistry.

nah this isn't "drake house" it's just a bunch of different dance genres, none of them being traditional chicago house. like Currents isn't a new sound Drake invented, that's just the philly/jersey sound
Flight's Booked and A Keeper fit into the the afro-house s*** black coffee been on
and so on and so forth.
none of its traditional house so people with limited knowledge who only know house in its early form will of course say this is a poor imitation of traditional house, but real ones know that's pretty far from the truth

There's nothing wrong with saying while this is an enjoyable things there are very obvious things he could have done differently to make the album better. That's valid criticism
He has access to all the information and contacts in the world, maybe if he consulted some of them (he might have to be fair), the end product could have been better

Tbh to me as a former house stan before even liking hip hop. This Album is pretty good version of Drake House. Its super moody. The atmosphere is brought into also by black coffee is very unique. This really his style and not much something you hear elsewhere. Drake understands his strenght lies in "the vibe" and that shows in the album. If someone doesnt feel it they will 100% disregard this album unfortunetly. I am happy i feel it. Its feels like how i loved Views for being super viby.

people cant think for themselves. Its actually sad asf. The popular opinion on opening night was that the album was horrible (mostly because people never really listened to it). Now I cant scroll on twitter without seeing "After listening to the album, its actually really good", and of course everyone switching their opinion now.

I'm no expert on house but it seems like everyone thinks house is supposed to always be very maximal like the beyonce track for example
