Just cause it’s a sample (originally from Lil Jon) doesn’t mean it can’t be critiqued tbh

I agree with the critiquing but people don’t recognize what it is and make it sound like that song wasn’t a staple of the culture

Drake fans have a magical gift, that gives them the ability to form their own opinion about a piece of music.

They're the type to hype up a mediocre project like Yeezus riddled with terrible bars all throughout the album but will hate on you if you like Honestly Never Mind

I remember when TLOP came out and I was talking with this artist at the studio about how good it was and this mf went “we’ll akshually 🤓” and said the album was trash and said everything fantano said word for word like I ain’t watch the review

And when fantano redid his review this kid immediately changed his opinion and said it was his favorite ye album

I will never understand why people take his opinion so seriously

I mean at least they're naming an artist. Prob the most prolific one who has put rappers on less commercial electronic production. You're just saying name other people to make them sound pedestrian.

That wasnt what I was saying though, "name other people".

I just found it funny how many people chose to only name drop one name in trying to discredit another artist. People just be jumping on a bandwagon without any knowledge. That was the point.

    This definitely the better album.

No one is saying TC is bad or not a classic album.

    Yeezus s***s on this album

    i respectfully disagree

It has terrible bars(even for Kanye standards) littered all across the album and is perceived a masterpiece by Ye stans(mainly the hipster white fanbase) because he was experimenting with death grips and introducing different sounds(like he did before with 808s)

I love Kanye too and glad he stepped up with TLOP

Y’all heard the first 10 seconds of on sight and made the death grips comparison. S*** one of the laziest comparisons in music today.

Corny bars lol. It’s a Kanye album.

The entire album is inspired by death grips though. It's not just on sight as well.

"A little context says otherwise. It’s hardly the first time an artist has put hip-hop through an industrial-punk compactor. Yeezus draws a straight line back to the industrial clang of the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy in the early ‘90s, or more recently, the agit-rap screeds of Death Grips. West also owes plenty to Saul Williams, who years ago was making saw-toothed political statements under the guise of hip-hop at its noisiest."

It’s not inspired by death grips at all. That’s some c***writer who put that out there.

If you wanna look at the artists who inspired the album just look at the production credits they’re all there and most were bubbling in their scenes at the time of the drop.

Anyone who makes the yeezus = death grips comparison is wrong
