who is “y’all”? I’m speaking for myself and myself only. I’ve never liked his singing but found it tolerable in small doses. a whole album of it is no bueno for me

I liked the concept of HNM and I give him points for stepping outside the box and at least trying to do a more cohesive project. for those reasons, I rank it higher than his past two albums but it didn’t come together for me fully bc it felt uninspired and half-assed. thats my opinion

I told you to stfu bc you’re so obsessed with trying to create narratives about people you don’t even know bc they disagree with you about a f***ing Drake album and it’s lame as hell

Eh Drake’s timbre is so crack to listen to and he’s so effective at using it that the technical skill of it has no bearing on my enjoyment. Drake’s technical ability, while often clowned, has never been this much of a problem before either, so I’ll have to really consider why it’s such a problem now

Maybe the falsetto attempts drowned in autotune? That could be it

Compared to what projects tho? If you wanna say he sang better on Views I wouldnt argue with you. Prior to that drakes singing voice sounds better today imo

I mean he’s said himself that Views has some of his best vocal performances ever. I don’t think he’s necessarily downgraded as a singer. He just probably thought instrumentals were requiring a little more from him vocally on views than on HNVM. Plus this has some great vocal performances still: flights booked, calling my name first half, down hill, tie that binds,
