Didn't Drake shoot a video for Sticky? Why hasn't he dropped it yet🤦

Still crazy to me that of ALL the great songs on this album, the one he decides to shoot a video for and gives primary playlisting/promo to on the week of release, is the absolute worst song on the album. He really stays doing the most to sabotage himself.

Seems more he just doesn't care tbh. His album release strategy these days seems to be: drop album with little notice, release at least 1 music video + 1 single and then move on to the next.

Yeah. I mean, it's understandable. If I was as successful as he is with very little effort on the marketing/promotion end of things, I probably won't be doing too much either.

This will go down as one of the best albums of the year

TML, TC, NWTS, Scorpion had good rollouts, videos and all, for the rest he winged it

He still cared back then, I think. I don't think he's interested in rollouts anymore. He just wants to drop his music and keep it moving. Can't say I blame him, but it'd be nice for him to properly push some of his songs.

Why would he do that? There's no one that comes close to doing what he does.

Because he's not passionate for music and would potentially be a great mentor, he just doesn't care about the OVO roster but if he scouts for a star he could do it

Who told you he isn't passionate about the music? He clearly is. Wayne didn't push Drake and Nicki because he was no longer passionate. He's never stopped working.

Also, there's no reason to scout for a star. It's a different time. He has put on several artists who aren't even signed to his label. He's solidified in that sense already.

He doesn't feel as passionate anymore. Since Views he realized he could do anything he wants and even if it's mid the public will like it, so he doesn't always go all in.

And Wayne at this point was still good but it would be a few years before he releases his worst music and claims he's trapped in a label contract. And I think that's why he wanted to promote new stars.

Public s***ted on every drake album since Views and Drake is aware of that. Even when he drops amazing projects like ML & HNVM. Him not being passionate is bullshit. He drops project after project, song after song. Started working on SH3 before HNVM even dropped. Everywhere he goes he has a mic to record.
