Sticky and Massive are fun party songs
Flights booked and overdrive to me are 2 of the best songs he's ever made period
Liability is cool and Jimmy Cooks is a huge smash.
Text Go Green just reminds me of Signs 2.0 and the rest of the songs are just ....unfortunately to me, they are interesting ideas but Drake's singing is kinda the worst part of it.
the "ee ee ee eeeee" on Falling Back is just not good even though the beat is cool.
The subject matter on the singy songs is really similar and not interesting unfortunately to hear back to back to back until Sticky. I mean this as a compliment, it's great background music but I find it to be disappointing because he was almost there to making something great imo

Agree 100%. I like Currents and A Keeper too to add on to this point. If he spent more time perfecting this, I’m sure it would have been a top tier album. A song like Calling My Name could have been real good if the drop was much stronger.

Like another user said this is what HE wanted to make.
The execution can be debated but Drake undoubtedly was in a different bag on this and it shows that even at his level he’s open to experimenting and dropping stuff that doesn’t pander to the mainstream. In comparison HL is the exact opposite of this. Not saying it panders but it’s so mainstream friendly that’s why people love it so much and that’s why Jimmy Cooks was so hyped too.
