Yea drake saw Kendrick do marginally below expected sales numbers with an album clearly not intended to be a mainstream success and decided to immediately create a new project and release it 3 weeks later
You know Drake is petty enough to do so.
But the album was already in the works. Artist are always working on new music.. however there’s no doubt that he saw the lacklustre Kendrick sales and response and decided it was a good time to strike.
