It wouldn’t be smart for artists do put a project on anything but streaming when the younger generation has no idea how to download things.
Album to Album though it’s been over a decade since he didn’t have a 2-3 year gap
4 people replied saying the same thing right away
Does that really matter?
In this day and age, every project is an album. If it’s a full body of work (all of these have 14+ songs) and the artist puts in max effort, it’s an album.
Albums vs. mixtapes was back in the day when you either sold a CD through or a store or gave out a tape for free. That doesn’t exist anymore with streaming.
End of the day, through every gap in music, the artist put in max effort for a few months and produced a body of work to the best of his ability.
