Lol OVO PR trying to push fake narratives again
lmao calm down, I don't have any agendas, just speculating like anyone else.
I just dont see this having anything to do with kanye. This sounds more like a general bar about an up and coming not someone that is already considered a legend because the lyrics don't imply that.
I think this is a massive reach.
I respect that take and can see how someone could interpret it in that way. Could you elaborate on how it would apply to someone up-and-coming, though? At least when I read the lyrics, I saw the "coach-player" metaphor as a reference to how Kanye and Drake's professional relationship has devolved over the years due to Drake's frustration regarding prior opportunities to collaborate that never came to fruition (hence the "put him in" line). If anything, the fact that the mystery individual's a "coach" who wouldn't put a player into the game implies a degree of reverence that could apply to a legend.
This the greatest halo reach of all time
From "When To Say When":
"Got a nigga starin' at the game like, 'Damn coach, put him in'
But you never listen, so you niggas goin' wood again
Got us in the crib talkin' 'bout what niggas coulda been, shoulda been
And I got your girl on the second floor beggin' me to put it in
And it's not because all of the money that you wouldn't spend
And it's not because I set it up to try and get revenge
It's because you niggas insecure, you ain't made men
It's because, even though you hate on me, we stay friends
It's because you niggas never learn when to say when, yeah"
Drake potentially references Kanye's reluctance to collaborate, his recent poor commercial reception, and the rumors surrounding a potential Drake-Kim relationship
IT IS A GIGANTIC STRETCH TO ASSUME THIS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH KANYE. THIS JUST SOUNDS LIKE THE TYPICAL RANDOM BARS DRAKE ALWAYS SPITS

typing in all caps doesn't invalidate anything i've said. just trying to foster discussion and to provide a potentially relevant quote from the song that op referenced.
Lmao Drake has been liking vids of SS on Insta, rocking jesus pieces, rockin ye must be born again merch, "the boy" called ye his favorite artist ever a month ago. Drake stans actin like if Drake piped Kim it means they did too, both never gonna happen.
Keep dreaming losers.

JIK outperformed expectations
What poor commercial performance?
these niggas love to reach.
At this point I'm surprised I haven't seen speculation that he's using a Jay sample to make Ye cry LMAO go to sleep
