    HORIZONS

That’s one of the most idiotic things I’ve read

It's not that far fetched when you think about it. These are off a quick google search

    forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2018/06/20/drake-has-now-passed-michael-jackson-when-it-comes-to-the-most-weeks-at-no-1

Before he jumped back up to No. 1, Drake was tied with Michael Jackson for the seventh-most cumulative weeks at the peak of the Hot 100, according to Billboard. He collected his thirty-seventh frame in charge just a short time ago with “Nice For What” before it was pushed aside by Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Psycho,” which has now also been replaced just one turn after leading.

Now that he’s racked up one more week on the throne, Drake has passed Jackson’s career total, pushing the King into eighth place when all artists are concerned while the hip-hop titan occupies seventh on his own.

    billboard.com/pro/drake-scorpion-fourth-album-record-7-hot-100-top-10s

The 7 God: Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ Is Just Fourth Album With Record 7 Hot 100 Top 10s, & First This Century

The set equals the outputs of Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation 1814," Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A." & Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

    people.com/music/drake-makes-history-first-artist-to-debut-tracks-at-1-2-3-on-hot-100

Drake joins The Beatles and Ariana Grande as the only artists to have three songs rank in the top 3 simultaneously.

Nice. Has Drake captured a worldwide audience like Michael Jackson? Why does it seem like Michael Jackson was just bigger overall, like all attention on him type s***

drake definitely one of the biggest artists on the planet but taylor swift is more of a MJ successor than him - the reach/impact ain't comparable anymore

There's a lot of factors at play but mostly Drake is in an era where celebrities have to do more for your attention because we all have so many vlogs, live streamers, more shows and movies than ever, forums and apps all take up a majority of people's time. Everyday things we have now didn't exist in MJ's era, the 24 hour news cycle didn't start until 1995 well after his peak for instance

And you have to keep in mind Drake isn't trying to be MJ because that would require more effort and he has got lazy if we're being honest. His focus is strictly music and touring while MJ had his hands in everything so his reach was wider. I don't think there's any artist today that works as hard as he did and that's why they'll never have his influence but I think Drake counts as a lazier "modern-day Michael Jackson"

If any modern artists albums are comparable to MJ's it's Drake's. Take Care, NWTS, Views, Scorpion, etc. Those are today's Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, etc. Whether you think Drake is corny or whatever. His impact is undeniable and his legacy is already huge

Because MJ was 100% pop and Drake only makes pop occasionally

I dont get this, im not that big of a drake fan but its true, hes the new MJ, mans has literally had hits everyone knew and quoted since i was in elementary, you can pull up hits that everyone will know the words to on all his albums and thats just his own, not even including all the iconic features hes done, he’s responsible for a whole movement with Yolo at one point, etc

    Hell no
Bad bunny hasn’t even reached a decade of dominance
He only really has one album that did crazy numbers
Comparing him to MJ is blasphemy
