i will go deeper into this in my article

I guess but i genuinely dont see how a rap beef, where a majority of niggas agree on who won had any affect on the black community besides entertainment.

This whole UMG PITTED TWO OF THEIR BIGGEST BLACK ARTIST AGAINST EACH OTHER FOR OUR ENJOYMENT is on some condomeyes s*** tbh

u should see da club when dese songs come on bra

NLU drop hella niggas happy hella niggas sad vice versa for nokia bra

I was at Elsewhere for South House and the whole club went up for NLU man what

Similar to Nokia at Lot 45, niggas went up. Good songs are good songs no matter what.

The only time that split reaction was happening was while the beef was still active (djs doing the "who yall like better?" and they'd play Euphoria followed by Push Ups or vice versa)

24h later and the Kendrick fans in this thread are STILL spamming the thread with posts about other users. It's beyond disturbing at this point..

I remember one time it was a function at The Well during the beef this girl part of the event staff was walking through the crowd interviewing randoms of who they thought was gon win lmao.

the "death" of discourse yall claim is attributed to this beef was already going this path when niggas decided people like ak, adam, and kai cenat were the arbiters of hip hop discourse.

Maybe the beef accelerated it? I'd disagree, it was already there.

Why would I not check a music forum for news and updates about music, and in this thread, the lawsuit? I love that. What I don't love is this and other threads getting spammed with 50 pages of sheer off topic bullshit by the same users. People ask you guys politely to use correct threads and instead of accepting such a simple request - and a correct request as per the rules - yall b**** and moan to anyone who dares to remind you that this thread isn't a chat thread for yall

I don’t think it accelerated it

Drake fans were already like this (see their reaction to MM&TBS) It just made them way more toxic and annoying

I think it definitely accelerated it. Drake stans were not THIS annoying, insane, and toxic when For All the Dogs dropped. They mostly just bragged about his numbers and that’s it. They’ve reached full QAnon conspiracy levels of mass psychosis since last summer

Discourse is a huge part of the culture. It’s been in the gutter ever since this beef has expired. That’s what I’m speaking to

Discourse was horrible before the beef lol

It really was. Very stagnant and just lacked depth for the most part. I blame reels and TikTok’s paired with the genre leaving the mainstream spotlight. Everyone’s attention span is that of a squirrel these days lol.

The amount of women who’ve enjoyed Nokia compared to the amount of women who have enjoyed NLU isn’t even close. One of the most massive songs to ever be and a fringe song of the summer candidate

Tbf if Drake didn't want any of these allegations maybe he shouldn't have asked for them in Taylor made

Which also means that given he mentioned it before kendrick means there was certainly an air about it before the beef

So it's probably only right kendrick went 'I heard' you like em young
