I’m not mad at that being called a classic

So Far Gone is a classic. I remember when Comeback Season and Room for Improvement was out saying to myself that Drake can rap he just needs to find his own style and he's outta here and then he dropped SFG doing exactly that

Cmon now. I've seen you be more reasonable than this.

You know Future's super misogynistic raps, his autotuned d***ged out sound, and aesthetics don't appeal to the average American like Drake does. It's too "urban" that's gonna limit him no matter how many albums he released

Kendrick does have a few tracks aimed at the mainstream while Drake whole focus is aimed at the mainstream. Don't be disingenuous.

You know the subject matter kendrick raps about each album limits his reach to the broader audience, while Drake subject matter is more digestible. That's not up for debate.

Kendrick got 5 releases. Two mixtapes before he got popular and a movie soundtrack are not gonna have same reach. Most people are not going to go back into a artist discography

It's not excuses, it's nuances. It's not a simple black and white thing it's shades of gray.

Drake has more albums releases. His albums tend to have for more songs too while ALSO making more radio friendly mainstream music (and I'm not using radio friendly/mainstream as a diss. That's why he's popular)

More volume/output + radio/mainstream appeal is always gonna result in bigger numbers compared to someone with a limited output that makes conscious rap. All of Kendrick albums are conscious rap albums even DAMN. It's just conscious rap in a mainstream package. To deny that he's not a conscious MC is wild. You don't have to sound like KRS-1 to be a conscious rapper.

Again don't be disingenuous. You're better than that. You got a reputation for being an extreme stan but I'll give you credit for being less biased and more level headed than the other papi angels when this beef was going on.

Ian read all this so but I just wanna respond to this

“ You know Future's super misogynistic raps, his autotuned d***ged out sound, and aesthetics don't appeal to the average American like Drake does. It's too "urban" that's gonna limit him no matter how many albums he released”

You do know future is the second most popular rapper billboard wise of our time right? Like literally second most entries next to Drake. If anything, future’s raps are more popular with the average American than a Kendrick, and it’s statistically proven

All I know is that when it's all said and done, Drake is a bigger and more successful artist than Kendrick. He's sold more records, has more hits, etc and that was my whole point.

If you use the same logic these Kendrick stans use, every Drake release ever is a classic (except Room for Improvement, of course).
