Why are you deflecting so much? I never said it’s a monthly thing d***head. There’s a substantial amount of hip hop surprise drops compared to any genre.

Nobody was surprise dropping in hip hop until Drake did it. That’s a fact

And Drake wasn’t surprise dropping until Beyonce did it, go figure

Crazy you said that because the prominent sound of 2010s rap as a whole has nothing to do with Drake. It’s a mix of Kanye, Wayne, Future, Thug, and Keef

Kanye West: “I’ll have copied a Drake flow a lot of times. I got s*** that once Drake took over, the algorithm was copies of Drake.”

How did Drake popularize surprise drops if he only did it after Beyonce did

A surprise drop is not something that’s genre-constrained like rapping and singing

You just said Travis popularized beat switches even though Drake did it first. Same genre. Meanwhile Beyoncé surprise drops in r&b and we get one of those every blue moon, while hip hop there’s constant surprise drops.

This is an example of you being dense. You’re choosing when to apply your own logic. Be consistent if you’re going to engage in conversations

I mean spending summers as a kid arguably can form who you are more than where you grew up, especially when he was not liked in school as a biracial/Jewish kid (his words) so going to Memphis every summer as a kid to adulthood would shape anyone wholly from the love you would receive more than back home until he popped off on MySpace

nigga where you grew up literally defines you bruh it’s why he was talking down on Toronto slang to white women who reminded him of his mom tryna impress them

"beyonce isnt the first black artist to make a country album but she def did it the best"

    That s*** was ass 🥀

cowboy carter is a universally acclaimed grammy album of the year award winning country album that is currently on a legendary tour that sees all type of black people who never gave country (a genre we pioneered) a chance. this is mind you 22 years after Nelly over and over

So you could just start rapping like a southerner because you spent a couple summers there as a kid

No, the music influenced him more than back home, so he started off with it living on his sleeve but by the time he dropped SFG to take care he combined both

Beat switches are a genre-constrained thing. An album releasing without any prior announcement is not

Saying any current rapper popularized beat switches just lets me know you do not have a wide selection of artist in your palette. Not even worth going back and forth about.
