OF COURSE UMG won't make it easy for Drake legal team to get through discovery. Of course they'll keep denying them things that they ask for. Of course they're gonna paint him and his actions in any light they deem as what will get them what they want, which is a dismissal of this whole case and of course Drake's side will keep fighting to get the proof they need to prove their own case. Nothing that's happening right now is surprising or a "gotcha". The legal teams on both sides are doing all they can to get a positive outcome for their respective clients.

The side that can prove their case the best to the judge will get the favorable outcome. That's all there is to it.
