No when Kendrick dropped euphoria it was not intended to be a hit but became one.

When Drake dropped FM it was intended to be a hit. Thats why he dropped it with a clean version for radio

It was not intended to be a hit you don't know that lol

It is like 8 minutes long and it's not catchy at all. It in no way was 'supposed to be a hit'

Again, artists have clean versions of records that they don't think are hits ALL THE TIME. He's signed to a record label. It's just as likely that he serviced them w/the clean just in case the record goes viral.

But that doesn't mean he made an 8 min song trying to make it a hit gang. Do you hear yourself?

Yes. Fair Trade has over a billion streams on Spotify and it wasn't a hit. I can list you well over a dozen Drake songs with a s*** ton of streams that aren't hits.

A lot of people would say fair trade is a hit though

Drake Stans sound crazy these days too.

Some of the takes on this lawsuit and Not Like Us are seriously out of control ngl lol and I'm a drake fan

But the idea that because there's a clean version of a song, that that means that drake intended for this song to be a big hit is just insane. It makes no sense.

I can drop a record with no intentions of it being a hit, but also have a clean version of it because the label wants it just in case the song goes viral, grows legs, or something etc.

It's especially stupid to think Drake intended any of his diss tracks to be hits because they were never given the single treatment. Radio played some of them but there was never an official push on radio. Only Not Like Us got that.

Song length is irrelevant too cause the radio can easily just play the first part and then transition to the next song

    If that helps you man

nah you’re right, just in the past few days we’ve seen drake stans photoshop kendrick into a cotton field with slaves and edit a ghostface killer interview that had absolutely nothing to do with kendrick to make it seem like he was dissing him…yall might have the monopoly on the schizo s***

euphoria wasn't even a hit. Not Like Us is the hit of the battle. All of Kendrick's diss tracks peaked high but they fell off quickly once Not Like Us dropped. I don't know why Kendrick stans are carrying on about euphoria being a hit record lmao.

Yeah aside from NLU none of the songs in the beef are hits.

But if you hear Push Ups, and NLU, it's very clear that of all the records, those two were the records that were the 'hits' of this beef.

Drake just didn't land the plane on push ups but it was the banger, the hit of the beef.

It's not. It's a fan favorite with Drake fans, sure, but it wasn't a chart or radio hit, despite its peak.

Yeah, if there's any song from Drake I'd say was structured with the potential to take off as a slapper, it was Push Ups.

if it wasn’t intended to be a hit he shouldn’t have put that first part on there s*** serves no purpose to the diss

Song length is irrelevant too cause the radio can easily just play the first part and then transition to the next song

The Push ups release was completely botched and the song leaked. So they threw it on to DSP's cause they wanted to, and moved on to Family Matters.

And Song length will ALWAYS be relevant. Even outside of this beef, song length being irrelevant is just a crazy statement.

  • Niggamortis

absolutely nothing to do with what I said but let it all out

Saying all that like Kendrick stans didn't edit a picture of Kendrick as a slave master whipping Drake in a cotton field or Kendrick stans weren't wishing death on Adonis is definitely a choice. Stans on both sides have done weird s*** but Kendrick stans have done a lot worse.

Still doesn't make it a hit record.

Yeah, if there's any song from Drake I'd say was structured with the potential to take off as a slapper, it was Push Ups.

The beat, the whoo kid drop, the repetitive hook 'drop and gimmie 50'

niggas are just in here playing dumb man. The song leaked and the release was butchered so they moved on to family matters.

But family matters 100% was the record to win the beef with, but that wasn't the 'hit' for Drake.

Of course, it was over as soon as euphoria dropped and that's why Kendrick dropped 3 more diss tracks in quick succession, because euphoria was so effective and got the job done

I am a generational idiot and that's my opinion. After euphoria dropped I couldn't see how Drake would make a comeback

Family Matters wasn't focused at all and got immediately buried by Meet the Grahams. Not Like Us served as a victory lap and Heart part 6 was Drake waving the white flag.

ps: Fair Trade is a hit

    Family matters sucks lol

I was in a discord voice chat today where drake fans were still crying about how good it is and how its all gonna make sense. like an hour ago. i was just laughing

like if you are extra familiar with and keeping up with that courtoom drawing guy, you are dependent on this beef like its a d*** to you

  • They put out a clean version of charged up, that was them trying to make a hit with that one too let some of y'all tell it lmao

    No

I mean, you can be dense all you want, but the facts are the facts.

Just because you see a clean version of a record, doesn't mean that the artists is spearheading that.

It could be the label requesting it, just in case the record has legs and the artists' team obliges.

Again, that's the same as what you're implying. You're just either playing dumb or are dumb but idk lol

You can simultaneously have your team make a clean version of a record without having the intentions of it being played on radio for mass consumption. That happens ALL the time.

So you think that DRAKE… an artist who is basically given a blank check from UMG to do and release whatever he pleases… was told and/or forced by UMG to make a music video for Family Matters as well as release a clean version simultaneously with the explicit…

That’s something you believe happened on this planet?
