Many of these "reports" are false lmao. He never dated Kylie or Hailey. Those sre facts. The "dinner" they had was him going out to eat with friends and she simply tagging along because they were going to the same restaurant and she was hanging out with Kylie at the time. That's it. They never had dinner together again.

What's funny about using these things as examples is that there are rappers with a lot worse s*** in their past that none of you are trying to label pedophiles like I don't know, an adult Tyga who actually dated and had intercourse with a teenage Kylie Jenner and rapped multiple times about it? That's something y'all act like never happened. Or an adult Travis Scott who Ruby Rose confirmed she dated and f***ed as a teenager lmao. Something y'all also sidestep.

But Drake, who, every young woman y'all bring up, has vehemently denied ever having inappropriate relations or interactions with is who y'all keep insisting is a weirdo and must have done weird things with them. It's not hard to see the play.

Once again I'm not saying he's a pedo. I'm just saying there are a lot of instances in the past which Kendrick used as Drake asked him to.

I completely agree with you on all the other stuff, no need to get so defensive

You can tell MANY people were excited about NLU because they believed countless victims would pop out to prove Kendrick was telling the truth. Till today, nothing. If anything, women they tried to use as examples of him being a weirdo came out to insist they had nothing inappropriate with them.

Someone with common sense would see and understand that if someone as famous and with as massive a magnifying glass on their life as Drake has was indeed doing all this pedo s***, they'd have some proof of it by now but then I remember how most people are idiots.

this is literally historically the opposite case lol what makes yall think having money and power doesnt make hiding s*** way easier its a way bigger deal to come out as the victim of the biggest artist on earth putting a target on your back to fight with the best lawyers on earth for one of the hardest things to prove than it is your boyfriend in toronto dude and many victims dont even think they are victims obviously because if your a 16 year old girl and you get to make out with drake ur like "YOOO i made out with drake"

either way the argument isnt saying whether he definetively is or isnt its about why someone calling him a pedo would stick pretty well

I sometimes wonder what Kendrick’s thought process with all this is like. His song prior to the beef, has always about integrity, personal growth, and doing right by oneself. He lied to try to win a rap beef, he sold his soul by throwing wild accusations around for the sake of entertainment, and created a p*do moment. If I go by the picture he portrayed himself to be in his last albums, bruh would be conflicted by now, trying to find a way to right his wrongs. Unless that’s not who he is, he doesn’t care about integrity and stuff like that. But rather they’re his attempt at performative self improvement, his attempt to create art. Which makes his records hollow because they’re not based on authenticity

    lol

if you’re expecting kendrick to approach it like a self-improvement seminar, you’re misunderstanding the point of a diss track

turning personal truths or even vague rumors into weapons is standard practice in rap beefs

Fair enough. And with the points I'm making, I'm not even referring to you in particular. I just think it's very dangerous to label people pedophiles without legitimate proof because you throw that word around enough times and place it on just anybody who says or does something you deem weird or odd and it loses its true meaning and over time, people become desensitized to it. All that does, in turn, is protect the actual pedophiles who are out there.

Nah I agree with you. Kendrick did beat him on every front, I just dont know if Universal played a part in it for their own gain. Like Drake claiming UMG getting rid of people with loyalty towards OVO and stuff like that. But yeah we’ll see whats true and not

I mean I won't deny it's possible UMG played into this to devalue Drake but it just seems really farfetched to me. Imagine an NFL devaluing their player before contract negotiations when the playoffs coming up

To me these reactors were gunna react regardless and as long as UMG didn't say "hey give Kendrick favorable reactions and we won't copyright your videos" then it'd be an issue, but to my understanding the videos just weren't copyrighted at all. Ak and the Pollo guy benefited from this as well

It's not the same thing lol. I think the difference in perspective is you're coming from the assumption that UMG is the puppet master and used Kendrick to defame Drake and devalue him for upcoming contract negotiations and I view it as Kendrick strategically dismantling Drake and beating him on every single front. Rapping, influencers, hit record, memes, etc, all of which Drake has used to his advantage in rap beef before

I believe if Drake wanted to he could have removed the copyright from his disses and allowed the reactors to eat off of them too, unless you think UMG wouldn't allow that

i dont get the angle about the reactors. unless im missing something all of drakes disses had reaction videos all the way back to push ups.

You might not know it but this is something that happens A LOT in the NBA.

Some teams start playing their star players in heavy minutes when they know their contracts will be up in the next year. The heavy workload = more chances of them getting injured and that in turn means them sitting out tons of game = less playing time and less leverage when the time comes for renegotiations. That's why now some select superstar players reup before their contracts are up, just so they can still get deals worth their stature in case they get injured later on. It's definitely something that happens in professional sports.

You Drake fans don't get how deranged and stupid you'd look arguing this pedo s*** to people who don't get online and defend or fight over rappers

Imagine saying s*** like "he texted the 13 year old girl about how much he misses her because he was being friendly and trying to mentor her", "he parties and drinks with HS girls at his house aren't a big deal." You just make yourself look dumb as hell

I realized this like 6 or 7 years ago when the story broke and I tried to defend him. You just ,make yourself look like a fool and deep down you know you wouldn't even try to argue this s*** being weird if it was a regular guy and not Drake

I guess it's a bad a***ogy, but that would never happen in the NBA with LeBron or KD or Steph cause those top tier guys always get the max contract. What you said definitely happens with role players or guys they don't care as much about re-signing, but Drake is LeBron to UMG

UMG conspiring to devalue Drake so they can sign him to less $$ tonthen turn around and promote his music and do whatever theyve done over the last 10~ years just does not sound believable to me. I'm not in these meetings I can't say for a fact that's just my observation as somebody who doesn't know anything

Didn’t realize people defended Drake strongly when it came to the Ephebophilia stuff when it’s already pretty obviously true no matter how you try to spin it . He has a couple of classic albums but is a rlly weird guy . Not worth defending online even excluding that stuff cause you still have the predatory tactics he takes part in to attract underage players to the fake and gay gambling site Stake.

“But you have to verify your identity And show ID!”
Yeah you also have to do the same for Roblox voice chat and look how many kids get past that with ease

That’s why being a stan is a disease. You got Drake stans like @thegreatdivine saying “Name me one other time Drake publicly groped a minor” like it ain’t a big deal if it’s only once.

I agree . I would never defend Cudi in this way and I love that man but I don’t know him personally enough to be going back and forth online especially on something he’s obviously done like the baby mama stuff

lil off topic but trying to think how STANS think

Fair enough but he believes that's what they did and he believes he has a strong enough case to sue UMG in federal court.

It's worth noting that as stated in the lawsuit, Drake tried to reach out to UMG multiple times to resolve the issues he had with their actions and they basically told him to f*** off. That's why all this is happening.

I think if it was a simple case of them refusing to give him the bag he asked for, he'd simply walk away but they didn't do that. They know how valuable he is, they're just not willing to pay him what he's worth, despite him having 15 years and billions in revenue proving he's worth it. That's the issue (or one of the main issues here).

His issue isn't with them reacting. People also reacted to Drake's songs.

The issue is that UMG removed the copyright off NLU reactions so they could be whitelisted and monetized, actions that made even more people react to the songs and spread the narrative of the song further with hundreds of videos having millions of views. It's all there in the suit.

i know his issue isnt with them reacting, my question was what the difference was between those and the Drake reaction videos.

    so the difference was monetization?

He literally rapped about his thought process and how he was internally dealing with approaching this beef and how he would have to deal wit the aftermath throughout the beef and even afterwards on GNX. Also cut the bullshit not all of Kendrick’s music was for afterschool PSAs lol it’s crazy how it took Kendrick to engage in rap beef for you niggas to get so soft about it.
