notbrockIt’s goofy because he’s advocating for labels to censor artists. He himself tried to defame and start a narrative about Kendrick but it didn’t stick. A majority of hip hop fans see this and think it’s weak. More casuals just see this as Drake being a b**** (which is why everyone said it was the dumbest move for him to make optically)
He did include streamers in the suit. He’s not suing them but accusing all of them of taking money from UMG to s*** on him. If you can’t see why that would piss a lot of streamers off idk what to tell you

but lets say it comes out that umg did push kendrick unfairly and his numbers during the beef are fudged, would you not say that has an impact on who won the beef or how you view it?

Judging by the public reception to this lawsuit I think a LOT of people are going to be in for a rude awakening when they find out botting is very prevalent and even used as a tool by labels like UMG having a direct hand in it. With all the other shady s*** they're involved in I'm surprised a ton if people can't wrap their heads around the idea that NLU numbers may have been inflated and even had a direct deal with Spotify in exchange for them to get a large percentage of the revenue... a lot of people aren't realizing they've been dropped and Drake is only going after UMG after an agreement was met between the 3 of them. Almost like Spotify is betting on Drake winning and they could possibly side with him during the trial as long as he didn't go after them
I guess we'll see but there's going to be a lot of people voting in Drake's favor if the botting and inflation allegations are true

100%. And then they forced him to take the audio uploads off of his Instagram, and ultimately made him put the songs up on streaming to try and recoup something off the "leaks". Drake knew he had diminished label support so the last thing he wanted to do was a proper release. He knows it wouldn't chart well at all.
