Truth is a defence to defamation. Not actual truth, subjective belief of the truth. UMG could say "This was a narrative in existence long before Kendrick dropped NLU, see Taylor Made. See this article about Drake texting Millie Bobbie Brown. See these videos of Drake kissing girls on stage AFTER finding out they were minors. So he believed the statement was true". And Drake's team would have a difficult time trying to prove Kendrick did not in fact believe it based on all of this

If it they have nothing to lose and Drake is just bluffing then why keep trying to dismiss the case time after time like you u scared of some discovering process being done at your facility. Idk if I was guilty I would try to delay the case as much as possible so I can delete as much evidence as possible and I was innocent instead I would humiliate him with the same confidence i promoted the diss

Basically is. This is a case where an older less “tapped in” judge would 100% side with Drake in many cases unless they’ve handled similar cases w/ differing verdicts before. Laws and cases surrounding this topic are really all over the place.

Funniest part is if Drake actually gets awarded damages, this case now becomes precedent for Kendrick Lamar to sue Drake for damages about the domestic abuse, Whitney being unfaithful, Dave Free being the actual father of his son lies in his diss tracks. And Kendrick would have a way easier time winning in that lawsuit because unlike the Drake pedo narrative, Drake literally just made it up without it being a narrative before his tracks
