I feel you but she’s saying the only beefs “the culture” cared about were about Drake when that’s definitely not true.

He had the biggest battles but there was other s*** that people cared about too

Not on a mainstream level, which is the level a rap battle would have to happen at for a record label to care to interfere with, which was the very genesis of this discussion lmao.

Y'all said Drake is ruining rap because if he wins against UMG, rappers won't be able to diss each other again.

I countered by saying if that ever happens, the only battles record labels would care about would be the ones that happened on a mainstream level and I also said the only rap battles we've had on a mainstream level and cared about as a culture in the last 10 years have all involved Drake anyways.

Also, most diss tracks don't drop on DSPs, so that's also another way to circumvent label interference.

And don’t say “we” when you talk about the culture because you’re clearly not apart of it

Is Fantano part of the culture? I mean he was just calling Dot a hypocrite a few days ago?

    Did he though?

When he is still the most talked about i.e. most relevant.

Carti dropped and folks still talking about how Abel bit his flows on "Rather Lie".

Sir, are people getting dissed on those songs? Absolutely. Are they flat out diss tracks? No. They're rap songs that have the main artist sending shots. That's an everyday thing in rap.

By your own definition, any rap song that shots get fired on is automatically a diss track and that's not true so I don't get why you're still so heavy on this point but hey, you win lmao.
