I don't see a world where Drake stays on UMG once he's fulfilled his contractual obligations to them, especially with the angle his lawyers have taken so far.
I can see him doing a Frank ocean double album drop. Last one on label and new one off it
Still don’t matter big dawg
Pay me my money
I could support my Jewish brothers and still say free Palestine
terrible a***ogy
I can see him doing a Frank ocean double album drop. Last one on label and new one off it
Allegedly, he's only got one more album on his deal and I can't see him giving UMG his best, latest work so it'll be interesting seeing how he manoeuvres that. Seems like he's eager to be done with them.

except the difference is they’re both mid instead of classics
So what’s the Drake stan narrative if the court actually dismisses this?
It’s all part of his plan lol idk something delusional
It’s all part of his plan lol idk something delusional
He plotted for a week then fed them that dismissal
Their whole defense is "but Drake started it first, your honor!"
Weren't they just saying Drake better be careful what he wishes for? What's with this change in tone and tune?
Drake’s lawyers can also keep seeking to ‘uncover’ evidence of wild conspiracies as to why one song that upset Drake had massive global appeal, but there is nothing to “uncover.” Except for this: by working tirelessly in partnership with our artists, we achieve global success for them and their music.
Our continuing partnership with Drake and his enduring success is a shining example. Despite his lawyers’ attempts to silence other artists and threaten the companies that work with them, we remain committed to propelling Drake’s career while maintaining our unwavering support of all our artists’ creative expression. Drake’s included.

Something like “what do you expect? The industry is too powerful but at least papi tried, now time to kill all the doubters 😈”
PAY ME MY MONEY
PAY ME MY MONEY
I can totally see UMG reaching out to Drake for a settlement if this case doesn't get dismissed and goes to trial.
Because despite pissing them off with this, He’s still a huge money making asset
I assure you, If this doesn’t get dismissed and goes into discovery, You’re not gonna like what happens
He heard it in the budden podcast so it gotta be true
At least according to Drakes lawsuit
I wonder who was Tupac’s ghost’s ghostwriter for that line. Maybe Drake can add him to the defamation lawsuit as well
That's the part people don't get. If nothing else, this lawsuit is Drake standing on business and telling the world he's not with anyone trying to place the pedophile tag on him because he's not that. Whether this goes to trial or he loses, he sends a very strong message by deciding to sue UMG, regardless of whatever consequences come from that.
“Cease and desist are for hoes” but a lawsuit is standing on business
Get ‘em Drake they deserve it for being meanies
all for drake suing his label if they used the beef to f*** with him
but this narrative that some drake fans have that drake was defamed and he has a right to sue to clear his name etc needs to go away. he participated in a rap beef, jay z is gay because of a rap beef and he didnt sue
S*** Nas damn near called Jay a Pedo for keeping his in Foxy Brown… but he ain’t sue
He plotted for a week then fed them that dismissal
they sue all the time for defamation in boxing
even before/after they get in the ring and fight
It's not ancient rome that gladiator sport s*** is not real
