MTG definitely one of the biggest blunders in rap history and it's wild seeing it always swept under the rug compared to Euphoria and NLU. S*** had the chance to complete crush Family Matters and Kendrick ended up with egg on his face and his twitter/reddit crowd still scrambling to find that kid over a year later. On some actual discussion, i think it wasn’t that Kendrick lied. It’s that he thought he was telling the truth and clearly got misinfo from somewhere. Lying is different than being completely wrong

I was going to ignore this until I saw how many hearts it got.

This is a bit premature because it still might be dismissed. Yesterday, Drake’s lawyers argued that (1) a reasonable listener would take NLU’s lyrics as fact and (2) that by doing so, they damaged Drake. This is standard procedural stuff.

Still, a complaint can be dismissed if there is no plausible claim for relief. There were unspecified damages in the lawsuit itself, so the following hearings are key to show what relief Drake believes he's entitled to, because the public thinks it’s reasonable that he's a pedophile.

In Drake's favor, the judge must consider the pleaded facts of the complaint in favor of the plaintiff for a motion to dismiss hearing. He still needs to make the relief he’s seeking clear.
