It’s not about the artist it’s about the crowd...black kids would’ve turned up to Drake they would’ve appreciated that moment. Too bad these concerts ticket prices are so high most black kids can’t afford it

Nah it dont matter when white kids bump to yg before hand and dababy

  • Nov 11, 2019

honestly though, sometimes artists get too big and think this could never happen to them. That they are above something like this.

I promise you that this situation will do more good than harm, everyone needs to be humbled at some point

From someone at the show, context is important. First, it felt like there were teasers for frank the entire weekend. Tyler playing that movie clip with frank’s music right after his set, taco playing his music. Granted, it was our fault for assuming but even at the headlining set on Sunday it felt like he was bringing his friends out, one of them being frank since so much of odd future were in the lineup.

Second, let me make this clear. Drake would NOT have gotten booed had he simply did his set like he was the headliner. People probably would’ve left if they didn’t want to see him. That’s in their right.

This man came on and said he was only going to do two songs, like uzi and rocky before him(who had the crowd more lit and weren’t booed) and then asked if he could do more songs, making it seems as though someone else is coming after him and as a result overstayed his welcome. The first time was okay, but then man’s did like 8 songs and asked us AGAIN if we wanted him to do four more songs? Like dude, if you’re the headliner then stop misleading people. He made it seem like he was taking up other people’s time and I still don’t understand why he would do this. Did he have a problem with the artist after him? Did drake have a problem with Tyler with how that cameraman put “fuck drake” on the screen during Pusha T’s set last year? Drake is very calculative. We know this. Or this man’s ego is so huge that he wanted us to stroke his ego and keep begging him to do more of songs for the next 20+ minutes.

Next, this man’s set was mid. His visuals were bland, he was outperformed by many people including Tyler this weekend. You’re a whole ass superstar and you don’t even have any dedicated set designs or at least visuals?? Just you walking around stage? Like nigga ATLEAST have a supporting orchestra or something. S*** was mad low effort and he was out here doing deep cuts like this is his main demographic. Man was trying to coast off his star power like nah g. Drake didn’t give us a show. Kendrick or idk tame impala would’ve gave a show. This a whole festival, show tf out nigga.

Last bit because this long as hell. Camp flognaw is not this man’s demographic. He doesn’t really fit into the brand. This is like Drake headlining afropunk. It doesn’t make sense and isn’t a good move.

honestly so corny how people will so adamantly hate on drake for nothing, i see people try to criticize every single move he makes

like you don’t have to like him or his music at all but people are just grade-A haters when it comes to him and it’s crazy
