Dudes done his own version of so many diff sounds what more do you want tbh I just want an album full of his introspective raps over minimal 40 prod
People want a Drake death metal album
They want him to belt out vocals like Bruno Mars
As a singer. He still sings in the same register. He still using pretty much the same instrumental style from Nothing Was the Same. When I first got into drink as a singer it was sfg & I loved the the imperfections in his voice I love the dark and Moody production but even able has grown since then. When are we gonna hear drake sing over some funk or 80s pop instrumentals hell I'll even take some synth-pop of rock inspired singing.
he isn't even a singer. he's always off key live. he's not a actual singer. just tryna get pop hits and be versatile
PARTYNEXTDOOR out now
The Weeknd out now
PARTYNEXTDOOR is a worse singer than Drake
Drake coulda took the Ye route and experiment everytime with a new album and genre bend. But he took the route of staying in that pop star lane milking out numbers and hits and that’s fine. We still get those introspective bars too

KanYe is a pop artist tho
I think he lowkey gotten worse as a singer
I think drakes dabbles in a lot of styles that are different than his typical formula but he never really delves into them for more than a couple songs
KanYe is a pop artist tho
Not at the level that drake took it to. Kanye still was being experimental late half of his career
Changing style isn’t necessary for growth. I think there’s just as much merit in refining/exploring your own sound.

Being experimental is not a requirement. Plenty of artists in hip hop did not do it and are still highly regarded as greats, even GOATS.
KanYe had hits and numbers too, doesn’t mean he wasn’t a pop star just like Drake.

I didn’t say he wasn’t a pop star. I said he wasn’t at the level that drakes doing it. Neither did he take the safer route like drake did
And no it isn’t a requirement. But people like OP would like to see drake do something different out of his league for a project or 2. Kinda how Kanye did with 808s or Yeezus

LMAOOO nobody tryna hear that s***. Give me 30 Chicago freestyles and 20 Not You Too’s
Yikes

You said this implying that KanYe wasn’t a pop star and had numbers and hits too.
Another "Drake should make this kind of music" thread as if mfs don't complain over every little new thing he does when it comes to sound.

That’s not what I was implying. Apologies. He took the safe route rather than expanding and being innovative how Ye was doing with his music
Also it’s funny how people call it safe or say they want him to do something different , but when Drake dips his toe in other genres they quick to call it culture vulturing.
