i’ve heard a lot of quality ones, especially for covers because you’re just taking the artists voice and applying it another vocal performance that has dynamic inflections

when it’s a brand new verse with an AI voice is usually when it sounds really terrible (to me)

for example, this sounds AMAZING. because from the vibrato to the vocal runs, it’s literally just rihanna’s voice doing exactly what beyonce did. but if it was an original melody it would likely be terrible and robotic.
