Drake is Heisenberg bro idk why it’s just now hitting me, he’s been Heisenberg this whole time. Aubrey Graham is Walter White.
Both arrived from outside of the cultures they dominated and seemed like dweebs at first but gradually revealed their dark sides.
Most rappers come from the streets (or at least claim to) and they adopt a tough persona because of their environment
Drizzy comes from the suburbs of Toronto raised by his Jewish mother so his persona was learned. He doesn’t have the street background of a typical rapper but he studied the game to the letter and once he got his shot from Wayne he broke bad. Just like Walt gradually transformed into Heisenberg through the seasons Aubrey gradually transformed into the rap Mob Boss persona he is today
That’s why people love him I think, the people know he isn’t supposed to be here and he stands out like a sore thumb yet he is here thriving with his chest out outsmarting everyone and rubbing it in their faces. When people try to attack him for being a “fraud” it never works bc him being able to create this persona and survive in the lions den is why people f*** with him
Drake is a f***ing genius man
People being afraid of talking positively about someone is the deathknell of discourse
So afraid to be called a d***eater that your monkey brain defaults to hating so you can be one of the cool kids
The thing is what I’m saying isn’t even necessarily positive or negative aside from calling it genius
S*** is just a neutral observation
didn’t read this, but If you’ve ever seen place beyond the pines, drake is basically Bradley Coopers son in that

imagine trying to be cool to anyone let alone a bunch of pasty ass niggas on ktt.
writing a dissertation and calling Drake a genius for cosplaying a black mob boss without speaking on black issues is so laughable and disingenuous.
this ain’t nothing to praise homie.
praise him for the incredible music he’s put out since he got in the game. not this bullshit c***guzzling fan fiction s***.

I’m not praising him lol if anything I’m seeing through the character he has created and calling attention to it
Y’all want people to be stans so bad and that’s just not the case lol. Just bc I ain’t make a thread completely s***ting on Drake don’t mean I’m showering him with undue praise. I’m calling a spade a spade. The nigga is on top and he is who he is and is from where he’s from. This is just a way I make sense of it, you can agree or disagree
Tbh, I see what the OP is saying.
I would also say that Eminem and Kanye's success can be attributed to this as well.
Em and Ye were outcasts when they first debuted on the rap scene and people identified with how they were able to fit in and dominate despite not fitting the norm.
Drake had a pretty unconventional rise in hip hop. Even Will Smith was a rap legend before becoming a TV/Movie star whereas Drake was the other way around.
He went from Wheelchair Jimmy to getting cosigned by Wayne at the peak of his powers, getting clowned for being soft/Canadian/a simp/mixed, having his ghostwriting brought up and held against him, and making a lot of crossover hits. But he still became a dominant rapper in spite of that.
On paper, Drake is no underdog at all. He's honestly one of the most privileged rappers. But he's able to be perceived as one because he's seen as a thorn to traditionalism and hypermasculinity in hip hop much like Ye in the 2000's.
I don’t care about being cool on the internet champ, I have a thought, I post it
yes but surely u see how stupid "Drake = Heisenberg" is for a thread topic

You don’t think it’s a good a***ogy?
