7am is a good song it’s just we’ve heard that same drake literally so much
I hate to sound like I’m just using talking points but that same introspective jaded drake was the what I wanted LEAST on this album and he gave us that song + more
It’s just so unoriginal, we get you’re at the top of your game. But the vague bars about people attacking him, his old friends not making it, his old girl not loving him just sounds soulless and uninspired after the 20th time
I wouldn’t mind him keeping the same subject matter if he at least switched up the way he delivers it. But he doesn’t even do that.

One biggest complaints of clb I have also is while I do enjoy the album lot of the songs have zero progression and just have beat switches for sake of having beat switches like they couldn’t make their mind up what parts they wanted so they just put everything
Listen to if you reading this and every song which has beat switch or change tempo feels meaningful and builds up to something bigger. Songs like know yourself or no tellin are really good examples where beat switch makes sense.

I think it's more that the features on Kanye's album really played into the whole narrative of the record. The Griselda boys have such great verses and they're so DONDA-centric theme-wise. Even f***in Baby Keem got Jesus bars lmao
