i love Travis part but i wish fair trade was a solo record
idk i feel like he adds a lot to the song, i love the way he comes in, reminds me of company.
i showed my friend the original version of love all that has the slower outro and he was wondering why that hov verse was added
Man I wish I never listened to the leaks
He’s literally from Chicago is it hard to believe he has some form of street connections
Meant for his age and as a Christian, he referenced it before it was never direct as now
7am is a good song it’s just we’ve heard that same drake literally so much
I hate to sound like I’m just using talking points but that same introspective jaded drake was the what I wanted LEAST on this album and he gave us that song + more
It’s just so unoriginal, we get you’re at the top of your game. But the vague bars about people attacking him, his old friends not making it, his old girl not loving him just sounds soulless and uninspired after the 20th time
I wouldn’t mind him keeping the same subject matter if he at least switched up the way he delivers it. But he doesn’t even do that.
it’s crazy that if he had just called it an album or even a mixtape ppl would have slobbered it up, it honestly is a complete project front to back
same issue with ML, that s*** is a whole ass album and is one of drakes best but mans downplay it because they decided to market it as a “playlist” or whatever dumb term they used
it’s weird, same with IYRTITL
idk i feel like he adds a lot to the song, i love the way he comes in, reminds me of company.
I did get big company vibes from it
maybe just need to give it more listens
man really named a song you only live twice
pack it up
Freddie Gibbs influence
man really named a song you only live twice
pack it up
ay song f***ing goes tho
Plus I think it’s a callback to when him and Ross were gonna drop that YOLO album a decade ago
Man I wish I never listened to the leaks
would’ve mae the album so much better for me i think
your nan: perhaps drake should focus more on crafting albums and idk not put out 100 songs every year?
CLBs:
hes been referencing GD since college dropout days lmfao. I think hes always been connected but is only making it known now
ALL MY HOMIES GD's , BUT I AM LORD. - KANYE
ay song f***ing goes tho
Plus I think it’s a callback to when him and Ross were gonna drop that YOLO album a decade ago
it’s a callback for sure but cmon
beat switch killed the vibe
One biggest complaints of clb I have also is while I do enjoy the album lot of the songs have zero progression and just have beat switches for sake of having beat switches like they couldn’t make their mind up what parts they wanted so they just put everything
Listen to if you reading this and every song which has beat switch or change tempo feels meaningful and builds up to something bigger. Songs like know yourself or no tellin are really good examples where beat switch makes sense.
what did he even do before complex?
the war in chiraq channel and some other things
thought the subliminals towards Drake on Donda were far better than Drake towards Kanye on CLB which is wild to me since Kanye doesn't do them very often
hot take: both Company and Fair Trade did not need to be made darker by Trab
ALL MY HOMIES GD's , BUT I AM LORD. - KANYE
YEAH BUT NOW HE GD NOT JUST HIS HOMIES
the war in chiraq channel and some other things
ultimate basement dwelling loser
Akademiks saying this is entertainment and not real life confirms this is a legit beef tbh
can someone tell me if something happened at 8
Yeah we got the song of life
the albums sharing a lot of features gives an interesting comparison between the two and i feel like all of the features on donda are just simply better than they are on CLB
it's like they actually want to be on kanye album but they needed to spit a contractual verse on CLB
I think it's more that the features on Kanye's album really played into the whole narrative of the record. The Griselda boys have such great verses and they're so DONDA-centric theme-wise. Even f***in Baby Keem got Jesus bars lmao
