Why is this thread worded like it's facts and not speculation

Wouldn't more people stream them since we can't go out?

  • Mar 18, 2020

Agree with OP about Kendrick. I think drake still releases in summer.

Facts this is the perfect time to drop albums.

I think Kendrick will push his album back because he probably had a whole rollout planned with all the festival he had booked already. He probably also had a tour booked that he just hadn't announced yet. That'll also have to be pushed back. Acts like Post Malone and Billie Eilish have pushed back their tours for the rest of March in the hopes of things settling down by next month. If that doesn't happen, they'll have to push back their tour dates for April and so on, maybe till the summer.

Drake doesn't have any festival appearances booked. As far as we know, he's still working on his album. My guess is that he doesn't tour during the summer this year and pushes that till next year. The album will probably also drop in late Q3 or Q4 this year.

This Coronavirus outbreak will mess up a lot of plans like we've already seen. Lots of things will get pushed back or cancelled till next year and it'll be a logistical nightmare to set those things up again.

Drake ain’t even finished his album and I don’t think he really had plans to need to drop by a certain point

I assume Kendrick definitely planned to drop based on the festival dates

  • Mar 18, 2020

I think it will be lower by summer tbh, sun and good weather should help with that.

Kendrick definitely had plans to drop in the next few months based on all the festivals he had booked. All of that seems to be up in the air now.

    hey man relax

maybe theyll postpone their tours/public events

but in terms of dropping music/visuals? havent really been understanding this way of thought that op is using, if anything this would be the prime time to release something

only issue i could see is labels being shut down and stuff

Lol they would lose money doing it this way.

Kendrick is supposed to go on tour this summer to Europe(highly doubt at this point)...why would he play songs that are 3 years old at this point.

    All those canceled 🤦🏾‍♂️

PND has a legit excúse now if he delays his album for the third time

  • Mar 18, 2020

    This is 100 percent true

  • Mar 18, 2020
    RIP_Actavis

For most of Europe and the US this s*** is going to hit maximum peak in about May-June

Kdot and Drake teams are too big to be stupid enough to begin a rollout whilst this is all still going on, I doubt we see either of them surface until end of Q3 earliest

The Weeknd this week will be the last big release but that's only because his release date was pre-figured

April-June going to be a drought

Why you talking like you know anything about anything you lil bih

They’re saying the time frame in reality might actually be between 12-18 months, depending on whenever we get a vaccine, so I can’t see them waiting that long.

Hell, I could see indie artists maybe doing the Radiohead/In Rainbows approach to their album. Make it an exclusive download on their site and make it name-your-own-price to support the artist.

We will be back to normal before the vaccine comes.

    STUFF

The truth must be most people stream music on the go, in their cars or on their commute.

Streaming has actually been confirmed to have already significantly increased with the rise of more and more quarantines
