He doesn't need to go overboard with it, but he's wrong if he thinks he can drop an album this summer and crack 500K off streams alone. It's not happening. He'll need bundles for that.

Mr Morgan also posted a pic on his ig story few days ago about dark lane not using bundles. At this point they should use it too though, nobody bigging u up if you dont

I think they both just posted it to show that DLDT did it's numbers without bundles. They wouldn't have posted that if it debuted at #1. I get the sentiment, but Mr. Morgan isn't stupid. They saw how low Drake's pure sale numbers were with Scorpion. Being that they have their time to plan things out with this album, I'd be very shocked if they don't have merch and some other bundles ready for when the album drops. I'm sure Mr. Morgan wanted another #1 debut but he lost out to an album that had bundles.

Bro he will crack 500k easy. DLDT did 230k off streams alone on a surprise drop with majority tracks being leaks or previewed snippets. F***, WTSW and Chicago Freestyle dropped months before lol

An album with physicals and streams Drake will do 600k+ with a proper rollout and promo. If he bundled he’d pull 1M+ easy

He's not doing 500K off streams alone under this streaming climate, man. Doesn't matter if it's an album filled with all new songs. On-demand audio streaming is DOWN. No physicals or bundles whatsoever? Drake isn't doing 500K, especially if his album is "concise" like he said. Lil Uzi did 400M streams and did 288K. A new Drake album that has like 16-18 tracks is doing at most 500-550M streams. That's not enough for 500K units. Scorpion did 550K off 749M streams.

I don't know why it seems like I'm the only one who gets this. A new Drake album now with 25 songs like Scorpion had isn't scratching 700M streams. That's how bad streaming has been affected. This isn't 2018.

I don't think using bundles counts as abuse. Not when it's used logically. People like Abel and Travis abuse it by going overboard but having some merch bundles and copies of the album on vinyl/CD/tape available upon release is reasonable.

Drake sees it all and he peeps the s*** everyone is doing. I'm almost certain his team will end up using bundles when the time to release the album comes.

Also, Scorpion didn't have physicals upon release because Drake was working on it until the last minute. Remember that he had to scrap some songs off and add others from the end of May till when it dropped. They could only have it on iTunes and streaming because that doesn't take time. It takes a lot of time to make physical copies of an album.

All he did was like and comment some laughing emojis on Hush's post. That doesn't = I won't use some sort of bundles for my album that drops months from now.

Also, the performance of DLDT is a good guage on what it'll take for Drake to do the numbers he wants with his album. At most, without bundles, Drake is doing 400-425K.

I hear you but regarding physicals if they were pressed they could’ve delayed album until physicals we’re ready. They also never even bother dropping physicals got more life (which was a big release) or care package. OVO seem to see value in avoiding the cost of physicals imo

Bruh. Drake had already said the album was dropping in June. No way he was gonna delay it longer than that when it would have further fuelled the narrative that it was delayed because he was re-recording songs to add to the album as a result of the Pusha situation. He was gonna make that deadline no matter what.

When the album dropped, Mr. Morgan made a post kinda congratulating him for finishing the album under the kind of pressure he was under.

Bruh, Care Package was a fan service drop. Same with the SFG anniversary release and DLDT. They were never getting bundles or physical releases.

More Life was a side project as well.

It's not a scam. It only walks on that line when it's overdone/abused.
