im just saying man, i rode that d*** hard, and maybe it's BECAUSE i rode that d*** so hard for so long that i HAVE to say that d*** is lowkey not staying in place anymore and just falling out. it's not the SAME. if yall riding his d*** today and can come off that, well congrats, but i just have to be honest and say the d*** is just NOT the same anymore. it's not.
Wym by this bro?
alright with all sincerity, i look at the list of songs and started watching clips, and really the show makes me feel like i would leave the show feeling deflated more than anything.
this comes from one of the biggest drake stans likely on this site. im not sure how many have seen him on as many tours as me.
one thing is playing choruses or one verse from songs. you can find my posts from even ktt1 days-- s*** is terrible. and the shorter and shorter he does it, it just feels even worse. i know its a western thing, and maybe in this day and age, its even welcomed. God forbid we commit to a song for more than 45 seconds. but overall, i would rather him not play a song at all than sing half ass over a 30 second backing track
two- it's crazy to see the iconic ass drake s*** is just....done. while yes, it's literally in the past, and why should anyone be subjugated to any period of their life for the amusement of someone else? STILL tho. i always appreciate when artists are self aware. let's not kid ourselves, you know? i think both parties enjoy it way more when they're both honest about what they expect.
next, the energy really doesn't seem to be there from the crowd. it general, just with the random public, it feels like he has triple the amount of fans of back then yet with a third less of enthusiasm for his music. i know the cool thing to do is hate on drake's dumb ass nowadays, but still, like i feel its really hard to find anyone that really f***s with him heavy-- particularly anyone that tolerates views and anything afterward.
anyway, in the end, s*** seems like my days of being a drake stan are dead as s***. dam.
Agree with everything here too.
I was watching his 2015 Coachella set a couple days ago and I noticed he did the same thing with his setlist there, just breezing through songs quickly and doing a verse/chorus and then switching immediately to the next song.
I wish he would actually put on a true performance with transitions and live renditions of songs and not just what ultimately ends up feeling like a greatest hits karaoke speed run.
He’s arguably the greatest rapper of his generation so by logical sense he should have some of the greatest live performances as well. But if you asked me to name one iconic live performance from him I honestly wouldn’t be able to name one
F*** no!! I was #2 in Sirius's stand-by line but that s*** was so unorganized. My mans with me knew the head security guard at the Apollo too but nobody knew who was running this s***. Sirius vs Apollo vs OVO. Right when the show started somebody from OVO came out to hand out tickets disregarding the stand by line Sirius had set up. Then that guy got pissed at something somebody in the crowd said to him and refused to hand out the rest of the tickets. I was really close to getting in right at the buzzer but missed out
Apparently at every other Sirius Apollo show they've let in people from the stand-by line because not everybody that won tickets shows up. But I guess tonight OVO had control of the tickets and did s*** different. Oh well the setlist wasn't what I wanted it to be anyway really. I've seen him perform most of those songs or will see him perform them this summer on tour
Salute for even making it that close tbh

These Drake fans are something else man lol

This nigga over here writing paragraphs crying letting his tear hit the phone
Wonder if he’ll switch the setlist for today
Rearrange / add or subtract new songs
Really exciting to see what happens
Today is clb only day let’s go

Jesus Christ seek immediate employment it is not that serious
Agree with everything you said.
I think he sounded good last night in some parts, but weak in others, which is why I’m slightly weary about this upcoming tour being in stadiums.
I’m not really sure if this style that Drake performs in as of recent years will translate well to a stadium setting. Also I don’t think 21 will fare well in a stadium at all but if he’s only opening it shouldn’t be too much of an issue
Yeah everything leading up to this has pointed(imo at least) that he does these intimate shows, smaller venues, more crowd interaction.
I dont think his performing is stadium status tbh
Mr Morale tour was insane. Drake hasnt performed like that since Would You Like A Tour in 2014. He stopped improving his live performances years ago and I doubt he even gets vocal coaching these days cause he sounds awful singing even with the heavy ass autotune on stage. And making his rap verses melodic here and there with the autotune ruins it too for me. We need less autotune, more of his raw talent and less trying to hype the crowd up. Kendrick literally stands still for 2 minutes without saying a word and the crowd loses their s*** in anticipation.
I really doubt that Drake and 21 will be able to do what Kendrick and Keem did last year. That s*** was flawless and I dont even fw Kendrick like that since GKMC
Can't argue with this, all valid points

Kendricks breathing control is nuts.
Also they put in a looot of work into the choreo, transitions, added instrumentals etc.
I dont think that Drake has really cared like that about performing, he doesnt need the money nowadays, and i dont think he really enjoys performing like that tbh.
That stadium tour is gonna wear him out like craaaazy
"this comes from one of the biggest stans likely on this site he says"
first time we seeing you bro
Asap should def come out the second night
Drake might’ve destroyed that relationship with f***ing fans. I defend drake most times but that was lame considering asap has only showed him love over the years
