The era was good but ngl the album didn't make up for the long wait and build up. Probably Drake's weakest project after his Take Care rise to stardom. I think CLB changed a lot throughout its development as well and that hurt the album. Like for example we know Drake literally recorded 7AM in Bridle Path a day before dropping the album... an album we waited like 2 years for, just makes a song right at the end and throws it on there. I wonder how many other songs on that project were also recorded the week of or a few weeks before release. There was also like 3 songs on there that were leaked in full HQ years prior

Honestly the next announcement will be through the QR code, not through IG. I can't see them telling us to check it and there not be any update, which also means a proper rollout can still happen via the QR code

I get your point, but that’s what I loved about drake’s lead up to the album. There was some new stuff that popped off and he responded to Kanye timely. It was frustrating to wait for the album but I certainly think it served its purpose (for me it did at least)

Tbh from what I’ve heard his team really isn’t that calculated or professional. At least not the ones that aren’t inner circle OVO. I was talking to both the Sirius people and the Apollo people at the Apollo show and they were all saying how Drake’s team took the entire event over and turned it into an unorganized s*** show.

If he had the same quality of team Taylor has around her he probably could’ve reached even greater success. I feel like @thegreatdivine could corroborate the number or unforced errors the OVO team has made…feels like she keeps up with and is critical of that sort of stuff.

So basically what I’m saying is that I wouldn’t be surprised if that QR code never gets updated again

A deep dive isn’t even necessary, there’s been a comedy of errors just with the last 3 album releases. Very odd that one of the most calculated artists of all time is this sloppy with rollouts over & over again.
