He took the LeBron route. It’s clear that it was more important to him to change the lives of his closest friends than to have the best industry people around him. Not arguing whether it’s right or not, but it’s definitely a conscious decision he made.
I’d much rather have an entirely in-house team like this. Prob motivates you to keep going even when you’ve made more money than you’d care to spend.
this might be a hot take, but if drake does a real rollout with a trailer, billboards, physical versions to preorder, and other stuff, that makes up for these stupid delays for me
The reason we get an album every year is because it’s pretty spur of the moment I think. For all the dogs has probably been a relatively spur of the moment project to record while on tour, wouldn’t make sense if it had some kind of big CLB rollout unless we get it a year from now.
Drake could hire a legit professional team to handle all his creative and marketing direction in an actual organized fashion like the rest of the big stars in the world but he chooses not to. This is what happens when you let your boys control different parts of your career
“I rather give that 15% to people i f*** with”
We would never get an album
The f***ed up part is his creative direction was so much better these days

I think this is half true, but from a creative standpoint I think some of his newer stuff broadens his narrative. This drake would’ve never dropped honestly nevermind or used that CLB album cover. All of which is subjective to your own opinion when it comes to what we are considering “creative”. I’m just saying it certainly seems like he takes more creative risks these days versus back then.

i like his creative direction now just as much
i think it’s more that he doesn’t really commit to the historically label-dominated style of world building / era building
Friends that dedicated they life to just keeping me intact. Hard to pay 40, pay Noel, pay Niko back. All the nights I needed to vent to someone and CJ sat. All the nights Chubbs was pulling up where I need him at. All the times Mark was making sure that my luggage packed or times he had to double back. I mean, even with his salary, you can't put no prices on that. There is no salary cap, there is no paying them back.
For real
They all look at me, like, "What have you done for me lately?"
"I like your older s*** but wasn't in love with the latest."
Aw, baby, stop debatin', I'm just a creative
The f***ed up part is his creative direction was so much better these days
these days or those days
You could argue the circle he’s kept has been the most important thing to him since this music thing started. He didn’t have to take any of them with him, but he took them all.
Probably the reason he’s still a decent human being to be honest and by decent I mean good
100% nothing wrong with it
Same with Lebron, kept his close friends in tact, kept himself in tact
Drake need to put them on A Performance Plan
They gotta start hitting monthly objectives or their salary is frozen

I think what yall missing is that when Drake's team wants to do something precisely, it gets done
See: Scorpion rollout
Yall care more about the rollout than Drake appears to lol
That should never be the case
