here’s what i think happened:

• drake decides not to include date in cover post cause he’s not completely sure he’ll meet the friday deadline.
• after the show that night he decides to commit to friday
• the next morning, someone from drake’s camp leaks this and several news outlets and insiders post it’s dropping friday
• drake decides to wait until thursday to announce so he can make sure it’s 100% ready
