Studio album 8? CLB has snuck into my rotation as of late. And I must say that second half is aging like the finest of wines.

Overhated album.
Y’all think the scorpion release drama inspired him to always do shock drops now?
Overhated album.
If people would judge CLB and other recent Drake projects outside the Drake catalog vacuum and compare it to what the new generation is dropping. It's a very painful gap... Who else is dropping this type of quality?

Just think he dislikes rollouts in general tbh. He just wanna release some music and dip

rollouts are too expensive takes a lot of effort and robs you of your time for an artist this size who can use social media and word of mouth to sell his music there’s no point doing 12 interviews and stuff easier to just do billboards
Her loss still a recent tape so drake def wouldn’t drop his album this month
i can see him doing it to start the narrative that he can consistently drop big albums this close together at this age

More time passed from Her Loss to now than from HNVM to Her Loss so not sure why that matters?

He's been doing surprise releases since IYRTITL
i can see him doing it to start the narrative that he can consistently drop big albums this close together at this age
He dropped IYRTITL in February 2015, dropped WATTBA 7 months after that in September 2015 and dropped Views 7 months after that in April 2016. The narrative of Drake's entire career is one of dominance and consistency:
2006: Room for Improvement
2007: Comeback Season
2009: So Far Gone
2010: Thank Me Later
2011: Take Care
2013: Nothing Was the Same
2015: IYRTITL
2015: WATTBA
2016: Views
2017: More Life
2018: Scorpion
2019: Care Package
2020: DLDT
2021: CLB
2022: Honestly, Nevermind
2022: Her Loss

That was his only surprise release before 2020 so saying “he’s been doing it since” then is kind of false
