Oct 2, 2023¡1 replythegreatdivineHe announced he has an album set to drop in June, the same time he dropped the book. He ended up spending the next 4 months promising the album and delaying it till October while conforming throughout that time that he was still recording lol.
The entire album era has just seemed unfocused, that's all.
I hope him, 40 and whoever else is involved with putting the final touches together puts together a decent project for fans to listen to after all this time, that's all I'm saying.
I don't want another album with s***ty mixes that has to be taken in a few days later to be mixed yet again.
Unfocused, sure. Iâm sure in large part due to the 4 month road trip. Would imagine itâs hard to get everyone on the same page to record & mix while youâre in 3 different cities a week. Guess weâll find out Friday.

Anyways, not trying to kill anyone's excitement. I just want a project that's well put together after all this time. I want all the songs mixed well, at least.
Search & Rescue/Slime You Out both had to get taken in and mixed again after their release. That's unacceptable imo.

That's all on Drake, though. This is like his 15th project. He's not some rookie who doesn't know what making an album constitutes. He brought whatever pressures it took for him to make the album on himself. No one forced him to announce anything and to keep capping for months and months without end but yeah, hope whatever he drops on Friday is worth all the crazy hype he's built up.
