on track 8 and damn near every song with great production/ delivery is ruined by drakes lyrics lmao
He just didnt have much to say
I like Yachty, but is his opinion on best verses going to be your go-to? Be honest.
outside of his god awful verse on that Cole song he’s been having some great verses these past few years. he also helped write Jumbotron so he knows what Drake sounds good on
This album is going to grow on you for sure
On second listen these songs are hittin different
Drizzy goat
Genty sucks though. He couldve had bad bunny on a drake beat and he wouldve killed that s*** just doesnt fit here
Daddy goat
Tbh the Donda thread was nowhere near the stage this one is reaching already, matter of facts more people were f***ing with it than not
rewriting history liek a motherfucker lol.
I ain’t gon lie tho, it’s kinda interesting how much flak Drake gets for dropping 20 song albums compared to some other big releases like SOS and Donda which got mad praise despite the longer tracklists. Not saying the criticisms towards drake aren’t valid, just wondering why people don’t keep that same energy for others.
Difference is that only one of these has any aspiration for something artistically accomplished (whether it succeeds or not is another conversation). And it isn't the one chasing TikTok trends and Instagram captions tier raps. This way it's easier to excuse any swing-and-miss and the highlights standout better. Hope this helps 👍
Sade finally on a drake album
I feel like listening right after waking up is throwing off the vibe/experience
With that said, I’m pretty underwhelmed so far (on All The Parties)
Nothing is really “bad” but idk man
i’m giving it another listen cause I’m thinking the same thing lowkey. I put this on as soon as I woke up cause my girl sleeping and I know she wanna spend time with me lmao
if he committed to a full R&B album, took his time and got more real/actually vulnerable then he could have a classic on his hands
Been saying this for years dude is jerking himself
if he committed to a full R&B album, took his time and got more real/actually vulnerable then he could have a classic on his hands
Need it next
if he committed to a full R&B album, took his time and got more real/actually vulnerable then he could have a classic on his hands
“If he put out a better album the album would be better”
He just didnt have much to say
And that's the biggest problem with this album.
for someone that's so critical about "albums" I'm surprised you say that about something so uncohesive
Well it’s kinda hard to talk about the cohesion of this monster of an album at the moment.
But first impression is that he tried some dope stuff on here along with some old drake tendencies that we all love if we’re drake fans.
I was in shambles listening to this off first listen
It’s gorgeous why no one talking about it
Drake makes music for where he’s at right now, and right now he is at the top so he feels grandiose and entitled
Donda has way stronger highs and even that album got a ton of criticism and literally has a 63 on Metacritic
Anybody with ears can tell SOS is a way better album than this lol
Obviously SOS is better that was not my point lol. And who cares about metacritic scores, i’m talking about public perception. Some albums have terrible critic scores and are loved by the public
