Neither is drake music but yâall still dissecting how this album isnât reflective enough on misogyny or whatever
Honestly I think thereâs more than enough content like that out there today
The level of d***sucking you're doing in this thread bro
Personally i needed a lot more chief keef
After two front to back listens of FATD and some replays of individual songs, I think Iâve come to a conclusion. I feel more positively about the album after second listen but I still donât love it. I certainly will never run this front to back again. I kinda feel like this album is hitting Drake stans like Donda hit Ye stans, in the sense that it doesnât have even a quarter of the appeal to anyone whoâs not already a massive fan of the respective artists. Thereâs no songs on here that I would say are âbad,â unlike CLB, but thereâs also no highs, once again unlike CLB. To me, itâs a pretty damn boring album front to back. I really only like Virginia Beach, 7969 Santa, What Would Pluto Do, 8am in Charlotte, BBL Interlude, and Rich Baby Daddy enough to relisten, and 8am in Charlotte is easily the best song on here. The rest mostly feels like filler. I initially thought songs like Fear of Heights, Daylight, and IDGAF were hard, but on repeated listens they really donât do much for me.
5/10
Drake #1 calling card for 15 straight years has been his lyrics and songwriting lmao what is this take
I think Iâd say his calling card is more about hooks/hits/bangers than straight lyrics or substance
Itâs clear he makes music to sound good as music when youâre with people and stuff, itâs not aiming for some avant garde stuff or some super lyrical stuff, on this album especially because he barely rapped
Whole lotta terrible opinions in here!
All the basements dwellers just got home and wanted to s*** on it
For me it was a 6.2/10 with the full tracklist⌠7.8/10 after trimming it down to my 13 favorite songs
As far as Drakeâs early retirement albums (CLB, HNVM, Her Loss, FAT D), itâs prob better than CLB but loses to the rest I fear
nahhhh this second listen is hitting immaculate 5 tracks in
it starts off pretty strong then slows dies imo
Nice For What.
I think Way 2 Sexy was an attempt at that but fell flat
Think it would of been bigger if it was solo tbh
All the basements dwellers just got home and wanted to s*** on it
Lemme do me in my basement
Amen is so good
this album has immature lyrics too âI know that youâre a cat but can your p**** do the dogâ
I know but Iâm saying the lyrics ainât the focus of either album and theyâre both just supporting a vision and vibe
You can identify Cash Cobainâs drums from miles away
soon as i heard them âstompsâ i knew
