sticks out like a sore thumb tbh
that and the screw the world interlude (but itâs growing on me)
Nah screw the world is classic. Fits the album perfect. First listen I left my body hearing those drums hit. So weird and trippy for a drake album
I can't pick. This might be the first album Drake clearly didn't go into prioritizing a obvious frontrunner for what the lead single should be and he proved that by not keeping Search & Rescue on the album despite the song being produced by BYNX, who produces like 8 songs on here and the song being a legitimate hit. He also doubled down on that by dropping Slime On You as an appetizer and then following that up with 8AM in Charlotte.
The album is like a greatest hits of album cuts.
In order to truly appreciate the album, you've gotta think of it more as an R&B album and less as a rap album. It's clear Drake set out to make an R&B album but once he went on tour, felt like he needed to rap as well so as not to totally alienate that part of his fanbase.
I get why Yachty didn't understand how it'd all fit together because this collection of songs aren't supposed to work but they do, somehow. This is also the most vulnerable Drake has ever been on an album. He's hurt on almost all the songs on here and he's not embarrassed to admit it, even going as far as saying s*** he knows will make people paint him out as a bad person.
It's sad everyone is focused on the wrong things. I could write an entire thesis on what I believe Drake's emotional state was when making this album.

Such a good move to put it on the album
tbh I see the vision for the bad bunny song. It just did not belong on this album
Tbh theyâre good enough where they could throw that one to the side and make another one
Idk why that idea stuck

i feel the same about clb too
i feel the same about clb too
CLB lowkey very vulnerable, I might say more than this just cause he raps more and touches on different things
wish he brought back the hook on va beach after that last verseđ
This looking like a theme
Thereâs a lot of parts that people are saying they wanted repeated
Goes to the idea that these are album cuts just giving you the moments once and then moving on rather than making everything a hook
Maaaan bbl love is truly truly special bros itsone of dem ones I swear
such a beautiful song from production to concept
I will say though, obvious Melodyne on that last note on 7969
Obvious melodyne been 40s middle name since Take Care

That's exactly how it feels. A collage of moments like a scrapbook
wish he brought back the hook on va beach after that last verseđ
Feel the same way. That hook is so addictive
tbh I see the vision for the bad bunny song. It just did not belong on this album
Gently is like the Fountains for FATD. Sonically so different from everything else but itâs a vibe.

most songs drake gave breathing room to repeat melodies, especially tracks like rich baby daddy and fear of heights. but va beach couldâve had the hook come back in once again at the very end to round it out, nbd tho

YES I was having this conversation with my friend earlier.
Feel the same way. That hook is so addictive
i keep expecting it and then the outro hits and iâm like damn
Love Fred like you love drake
Love Ed like you love drake
Love said like you love drake
That part kinda mid, BBL might be the least essential track, like definitely cut that
i keep expecting it and then the outro hits and iâm like damn
Said I couldâve treated you better but NO
nobody ever loves me the way i do them
