A lotta people canāt differentiate between an album they personally like/love vs. labeling something a classic.

I Know What Girls Like makes those songs look like the Mona Lisa lol
Classics can have a filler track or weak single, like Aināt No on reasonable doubt which I canāt stand personally. Iām not gonna discount classics for something like that
But I Know What Girls Like is different lol itās one of the worst songs Iāve heard, itās so early on the album, and plus Sunshine is another weak one so it kind of bleeds into the album as a whole, the shiny suit stuff on there was a miss and holds it back from true classic status to me. Plus it didnāt really have impact like that.
Idk Iām not mad if people consider it classic, but at that point the standards are pretty loose. Like if thatās a classic then s***, I Am should be one too

Idk bro thatās a reach and donāt get me wrong I love NWTS but there are even weaker songs I can dive into that are just OK (Wu Tang Forever, Paris Morton Music 2) I f*** with those songs but even I know they arenāt top tier songs. My argument is that if you wanna say IKWGL is filler/trash but it canāt be a classic you gotta have the same energy for Drakeās albums

Volume 1 didnāt get perfect scores across the board but it got similar reception to what a Take Care or NWTS got. I feel that is eventually what drakes best records will be seen as qualitatively. To a fringe Jay classic.
The Blueprint was widely considered an instant classic the moment it dropped. The Black Album didnāt get that reception but still it was very positive
TC is drakes biggest claim to a classic and even then a lot of people wouldnāt consider it to be one. If you ask most people what their favorite drake album was, most would probably name a recent one because heās always been seen as a singles artist and people donāt really remember his albums like that.
People in the end will look back on Drake and be in awe of how many hits he made but realize he never truly made a memorable album
Bro RD was not met with widespread acclaim do your homework lil man. The source gave it a 4/5 and they were the main authority on rap reviews in 1996. XXL didnāt even exist yet. Most of what you see on Wikipedia is retrospective reviews.
It has widespread acclaim and considered one of the best rap albums of all time NOW but this is the perfect example of what I was talking about
