I def want to make a condensed version of this album but gotta listen more
The first 12 songs are def staying though except Bahamas Promises, that song is not for me or just hasn't clicked yet
Last part of Picasso reminds me of The Motion for some reason.
classic 40 man

Not suprised more predator and rapist allegations from fantano lmao
Now that we've had this for almost a week, and I've had time to digest it
I am really really enjoying it, and is already becoming one of my most played projects this year
This album reminds me A LOT of More Life; interludes, feature dominated tracks, album length & tracklisting are all components that remind me of More Life ... It shares the same strengths, as well as suffers from the same weaknesses as that project
Virginia Beach & Amen open this album up so beautifully, Virginia Beach especially I am obsessed with, the Frank sample flip is gorgeous, 40 really worked his magic on that one, as does Teezo on Amen; really strong start
I actually think this album's biggest pitfall is getting stuck as it comes out the gate, the first-half of Calling For You sounds very slick but that unnecessary skit completely murders the momentum that track 1 & 2 created
Fear of Heights & Daylight are complete duds for me too, failing to revive any energy. I've been bored of these "aggressive trap Drake" tracks since Scorpion, and these two tracks sound so stale and characterless, could have leaked months ago and told me they were Her Loss B-sides and I would have believed it
Thankfully, beyond this, I enjoy pretty much everything else. FPS & IDGAF restore the vibes, IDGAF is such a tune, that intro is wild, and I'm glad Drake just allowed Yeat to run that s*** although they both sound good on it
7969 is AMAZING, one of the most creative tracks I have heard from Drake in a longggggg time, production is S-tier, Keef sample goes so hard and Teezo's outro might be the album's standout moment
I love how there is the skeleton of an R&B Drake album in this project - Slime You Out, Tried Our Best, Drew A Picasso, Members Only, Polar Opposites - this is my favourite type of Drake and each of these tracks deliver. PND & Drake is always a gift, and it feels like a direct sequel to Since Way Back from More Life, f***ing superb track. As is Drew A Picasso !!! Like wtf that s*** is amazing, peak R&B Drizzy !
All The Parties - 8AM - BBL Love is an insane 3Peat, last minute of All The Parties is so damn good with that West End Girls interpolation
Rich Baby Daddy is an absolute banger, the dancehall-esque beat is so hard, my favourite beat on the entire album i think. I understand the Sexy Redd hate but I fw the energy she brings on the hook even if it is a bit abrasive
Away From Home & Polar Opposites end the album so well. Love that he is able to find a balance between current and nostalgia on Away From Home, I think the track highlights how his problems and priorities have changed as his career has progressed, the simple, understated beat does well to just let him talk his s***
Too early to compare this to his previous works, and truthfully, I don't see much point in doing that. It definitely suffers from the same issues the last handful of Drake albums have - too bloated and in need of a bit of a trim but nah this s*** has a weird charm to it that has got me hooked
