Drakes problem is that he has been the top dog ever since social media took of and negative views/discussions is what provides clicks so people gonna be desperate to see things in the most negative light for traffic.

CLB wasn’t very good tho. That was when people really started firing up that narrative because they finally had a mid project to go at.

Everything he’s done after CLB has been much better. Some good tracks on CLB but like the very best song on CLB probably wouldn’t even be a top 5 song on FATD.

The album is just as high quality as anything he’s released before.

I’m sorry but this opinion is sadly just a result of letting outside influences affect you. If you liked Drake’s music from the jump or for a while then it should be a no brainer.

But I also don’t blame people who get influenced to think “ah man yeah they’re right I don’t like this anymore”. Easier to rock with what seems like the majority on heavily flawed platforms where people leech onto whatever gets the most clicks blindly and without any integrity.

At the end of the day, with 500 million streams in a week, SOMEBODY is listening. Until otherwise, any critique seems silly.

You name an rap star now or precious who has had comparable hate where all the major hip hop media people have bad hate agendas.

Artists fall off everyday and Drake the one who still making music that hits and moves the culture . The people I name have all hated on drake at his ALL stages of his career

Give one example of drake having a problem with only MUSIC critique ? Artists aren’t allowed to stand up for themselves either. Your goats like Jay Z made calls to have radio personalities fired. Journalists used to get beat up but you’re mad about drake

I thought there was validity to the CLB thoughts but I mean just revisiting and seeing the track lists it’s still really good, especially in comparison to what is being put out right now.

I do agree that the albums afterwards have been better though I think

2023 has been a dud for me so it’s hard for me to say who my favorites are these days.

I love what Baby Keem and Kendrick are doing. Kodak is my favorite out of all these new dudes

Travis Scott’s album was good for its production I never really listened to him for his rapping skills
