But the bounce back to FATD makes it feel like those were just side projects and the real drake albums are CLB and FATD
HNVM obviously a classic and had more of that confidence
I wish he made this album a similar length

Nahhh fam donāt make it like that, thatās absolutely not what Iām saying
Iām not tryna take away from those projects by saying that
But I fully expected him to complete that run with another solo album with a good length and direction like those projects had
experimental classic then collab classic and finish it off with a real classic ādrake albumā
And this was very close. The music was there its just too long and most of the collabs shouldāve been released as scary hours
Instead, FATD kind of marked a step backward in Album making after the huge step forward of the 2022 projects. Iām not saying this to hate, I still liked the album but I had to make my own tracklist

Itās crazy how First Person Shooter really lived up to the hype of another Drake and Cole collab. Them boys were cookin man. Drake better return the favor on The Fall Off

On one level it feels like the boy has grown into the man, he definitely has a confidence and swag that he didnāt have when he was first breaking through

I do think you can argue that this recent thing of packing albums with as many songs and big features that fit feels like heās a little bit unsure of himself and feels like he needs the cheat codes rather than straight up making the best hits
Itās easier to get Bunny and Sexy red on records than to make another HOWGH or even Gods Plan level record and it feels like maybe he doesnāt know if he can do that anymore
Itās just business decision to feed his diverse fan base! He gets paid off streams! Why do think Universal broke the bank to pay him? Why do think Taylor Swift hating on the boy? I know people that prefer the rap songs on FATDs and want more of it, others prefer the rnb!
I like all facet of drakeās so Iām satisfied.Drake will never recreate his previous eras, I donāt heās ever given us song with same ilk as Further Things.
