I'll say this for the last time. There are currently 2 highly-anticipated rap albums:
1. Uzi's album, which has now been confirmed to be dropping this Friday.
2. Travis' album, which could drop any week now (my guess is the 14th of July, seeing as he has been teasing the album for like a month now).Drake is cool with both of those guys, so just like he did with Young Thug's album where he didn't drop his own album on the same date, he won't be dropping whenever Uzi or Travis drop. There's also Taylor dropping so that's 3 weeks.
This is all on Drake. Had had weeks and weeks to drop but waited till the time of the year when it gets busy so now he'll just have to keep pushing his s*** back till there's a week where no major name is dropping.

Taylor will dominate the charts and the conversation if Drake drops on the same day as her. That's the simple truth. Right now, she's a bigger name than him. Her albums put up bigger numbers, she draws more attention online, her tours are bigger, etc.
She has already blocked Drake from a #1 debut before. Drake ain't risking that again.

Of those options (drop during tour in July, move tour further to start after album, drop after tour in October, or drop on same day as Uzi), I think dropping 6/30 still is the best bet.
Yes, it sucks that neither Uzi nor Drake will have their âown weekâ, but thatâs the consequence of Drake doing Thug a solid.
