anyways, everyone knows Drake contractually canât drop until this thread hits 1,000 pages
S*** @shaleirose will fill that up arguing his case. Mad respect though for sticking his ground
"There's no rollout" is actually a worse excuse than saying he's not dropping because of Uzi
stay out of young folk business grandpa
That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me...
Might get Thai food for dinner idk gotta run it by my girl but I could f*** with some pad Thai for sure
yeah which is why imo the daily updates shouldn't be a concern. and if you remove them from the equation, it is obvious that album is coming on friday
I was saying that to say that them liking that tweet doesnât mean much to me because theyâre notorious for being out of the loop

the heart wants what the heart wants
youâre a mod too?

Had some bomb ass Thai last Friday
1. uzi - feels very, very unlikely that drake would adjust for uzi. again, probably pretty different fan bases + while drake & uzi seem cool, definitely don't seem to be close enough for drake to postpone his album. if anything, given drake's upcoming tour, lil uzi would have likely been the one to delay his album
2. i wouldn't worry about daily updates. i'm sure they all have their hands full prepping for tour, logistics for book, etc.
3. drake hasn't officially acknowledged it, but he wrote that he made an album on the book's website ha. drake also explicitly stated that there's never been anything he's wanted people to support more than the book. i'm sure he doesn't want to make an album announcement right after the book release. he's clearly trying to give the book some time to breathe
4. the drake's related liked a tweet saying album is coming friday. not sure how much more validation you need.
5. the fact that the album is otw and the tour suddenly got pushed back w/ no formal announcement should be enough of a sign for you
again, while all of this is speculation, by far the most plausible scenario here is
1. thug, a known extremely close friend of drake wanted to drop and given thug's situation, drake is obviously going to do him a favor
2. they've scrambled to push back dates on tour to give opportunity to launch the album
3. drake dropped the book ahead of time and announced album otw. drake really wants people to focus on book before the album obviously consumes everyone
4. daily updates were stated but the reality is album releases are always exceptionally chaotic + going back to 3rd point, drake clearly wants people focused on book not album right now
i'm not a betting man, but i think you'd be very unwise to bet against an album coming on friday
finally someone level headed
I was saying that to say that them liking that tweet doesnât mean much to me because theyâre notorious for being out of the loop
yeah but if you remove the liked tweet + the daily updates aspects from the argument, i think it makes the argument that an album is coming friday even stronger.
Changing topics, do yâall think heâll perform FATD on tour?
Wonder if heâs gonna focus on 2021-23 material or if this truly gonna be like an âerasâ tour as hinted by the tour art.

2-3 songs probably, just like he did with More Life
2-3 songs probably, just like he did with More Life
Do you think that shapes the way he made/recorded FATD?
He always says he records music with his tours opening and closing songs in mind. Like he stated multiple times he didnât wanna close with Gods Plan on his next tour.
However, I think he dropped HN specifically without a tour because he recorded without the intention to tour and therefore took more chances on the album.
There was no rollout for Honestly, Nevermind
They barely did stuff for Her Loss, probably just announced it because of 21 and they were trolling everyone
Drake doesn't care anymore about doing rollouts
I agree on Honestly Nevermind being a surprise drop but that doesnât mean that all his albums are gonna be surprise drops now, especially when sales-wise Honestly Nevermind had a drop from the album before and the one after.
Her Loss was announced on short notice then delayed once or twice (I canât really remember) tbh so I wonât count it
