It was weird for him to use the book to announce the album imo. But my guess is that it was already done and he couldn't take it back because the Thug album drop was so last-minute. I think that's what f***ed up Drake's album dropping and I think now, with new albums lined up to drop every week in July, he might just hold off on dropping till further into the year.
The benefit of that is that there'll be more than enough time to put finishing touches on the album, get the mix perfect and maybe even make some changes that lead to the album being its possible best.
