This gets said about Drake every album you will get what you are given

Honestly, if you don't already think Drake has a classic album out, then no matter what he releases going forward, you're not gonna find it a classic.

He's not going to suddenly change his formula and go straight rap. Man is over 10 years in the game. By this point, you just gotta accept him as he is.

I purposely said “losing a bit in popularity” because I’m not predicting his fall off. Drake is too big that even if he does fall off it won’t happen instantly.

What I am saying the next album will play a pivotal role moving forward. If it’s something the public don’t receive well then he could be in trouble. He’s feeling pressure now (which is good) not just with his album being #2. Y’all acting like that’s the only point I made lol. He’s older, his rap immortality is naturally gonna take a hit, that’s the game not an attack on Drake personally.

tbh there's no point to keep going back and forth, i guess will wait and see. all i know is this same debate has been had for almost 4 years now.

"drakes popularity is slipping" oh boy, ive never heard that before

    For the past five years

Aside from the fact he has multiple classics, I do agree that this album needs to be one of his major, if not THE, statements.

Not in the sense that he needs to "stay relevant with the youth" whatever that means. He's a certified GOAT and the level of expectation on his releases is only rivaled by prime popularity Kanye, but this album really needs to tap into his soul.

yeah op drakes popularity is slipping because a demo tape of leaks/throwaways went #2 when every single song on said demo tape was either officially put out, leaked, or previewed in one way or another aside from losses. all with no promo, random drop, with streams being down

he would’ve easily outsold that country album had he done promo to hype it beforehand and did bundles and we wouldn’t even have this conversation

we all know it’s literally facts that country album sold so many because of tour bundles for a tour that can’t even happen for the foreseeable future, any other situation this demo tape goes #1

tekashi is only relevant right now for antics too

OP kinda right tbh. The hate on Twitter getting so obvious now it's almost toxic. As for me, I still think his current s*** is decent. Feel like the missing ingredient has been hard hitting production and if he has s*** that hits like Vital on the album, it'll be good.
