i lived in afghanistan till i was 5, lived in my first house till i was 10

a majority of my friends from back then are black and they listened to music all the time but i was never really interested i just helped them with homework and balled with them at school because I rarely saw my friends outside of school till i was in senior year

every now and then when I hang wit them they play music that I recognize from back then and it's like an "americana have you heard this song" and i'm there like "i remember yall playing this on the court in 4th grade" that stuff
