Have you heard of the allegory of the ducks? In every season premier and throughout show whatever is happening in the pool is a reflection of Tony's life. The ducks being his family protecting him throughout his mob career. In the beginning the pond is filled with ducks (the end of 1st ep is foreshadowing). Then for ex., in season 5 Carmela drains the pool almost as if the ducks will never come back to the pond/pool. Then season 6 with AJ etc they drain out the pool and what happens throughout season 6?

Show is psycho-analytically one of the best shows ever and sm forwshadowing and subliminal s*** so many ppl don't realize first few times. #1 show ever (BB very good but #2 for me)
